The Llano County Museum, located at 310 Bessemer Ave., is excited to host the first annual event to celebrate the founding of Llano County. The affair will include a meal, period music, tours of the museum and a short business meeting by the board of directors.
Sam Oatman, descendant of one of the original founders, will present a talk on the history of Llano County. Other talks will be given on the communities of Tow, Bluffton and Castell by Alfred Hallmark and Patty Pfister.
The evening will conclude with a fireworks display on the banks of the Llano River.
